The Dominant Mom
The Dominant mom is always busy, and she knows how to take charge. If you have a "D" style mom, you were more afraid of her disciplinary style than anyone else's. Her dominance reigned. "D" moms are active and task-oriented. Their communication style is direct and to the point. They seem to take their job as your mother very seriously, and they don't like it when you question their authority. This mom might have enjoyed the phrase, "Because I said so, that's why!" Your mom was protective of you, and she had high expectations for your behavior and accomplishments. "I" moms always want to talk about a problem when it comes up because they dislike when there is tension in the house.
