“Link Disabled” Issue with Invitation Links

You may have discovered a “Link Disabled” error message upon clicking on the hyperlink in an invitation email to take an assessment. First, we want to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. This issue stems from an upgrade to our email service provider in which we use to send out invitations. In December, we upgraded to a new email service provider, along with various other server upgrades to maintain the speed and stability of our PeopleKeys App2 service. We had kept the old account active for a period of time while we implemented the new service, and have recently disabled it. Upon disabling the old service, the links within the emails stopped working and we were not made aware this was going to be the case as it was an upgraded version of the same application from Microsoft.

If you click on a link within an email from the old email service, you will come to a page that reads, “Link Disabled.” This is due to the hyperlink being inserted by the email service no longer working without the old account. If you should happen to come upon this hyperlink issue, rather than clicking on the hyperlink, simply copy and paste the hyperlink text you see into your web browser address bar. It should look something like this in your email: http://app2.peoplekeys.com/AssessmentTake.aspx?kc=XXXXX-XXXXX (Note you must insert the keycode where the Xs are). Once pasted, click the Enter button and it will work.

Alternatively, you can send a new invitation email and the hyperlink within that email will contain the correct and updated URL with our new email service provider.
